A reciprocal vote was extended to Richard Greeves and all others who had also helped to maintain the terrain5.0 President’s Report : The President who had only recently returned from Japan apologised for the lack of a report but did offer a viewing of 800 photographs of his new grandson in compensation. Unfortunately, lack of time prevented the committee from accepting his kind offer. 6.0 Treasurer’s Report : 6.1 No official report but the Hon Treasurer diagnosed the club as still being in the rudest of health, financially speaking.6.2 Club membership now stood at 21 adults (inc 3 associates). He added that he had sent emails to all of those yet to pay their membership dues.6.3 £100 had been sent to the British Legion at Netley in respect of last year’s Poppy Petanque Doubles and a letter of thanks had been received and would be displayed on the terrain notice-board.6.4 £800 sponsorship money had been received from Medem Ltd. 7.0 Secretary’s Report : 7.1 Forthcoming events : (Removed)7.2 Club Events : (Removed) 7.3 Correspondence & Other Business : None 8.0 Captains’ Reports : 8.1 “ No leagues, no reports!” but the 2011 league fixture lists had been distributed to the respective captains.9.0 Terrain Maintenance : 9.1 The secretary’s search for suppliers of small quantities of granite dust remained on-going and he would give the treasurer the address of the main quarry to visit on his holiday in Derbyshire!9.2 Weed control arrangements remained on-going.10.0 New Members : 10.1 No report.11.0 Items for Discussion : 11.1 Winter Doubles Final arrangements :11.1.1 Dave Stubbs assured the meeting that he had it all under control!11.1.2 Lyn Porter outlined a sample menu.11.2 League Teams Composition : Completed.11.3 CBC Doubles arrangements11.3.1 It was agreed that arrangements would remain as for 2010 with certain modifications11.3.2 The secretary was detailed to issue an updated version of the 2010 flyer as soon as possible and again a week before the event. Amendments were to include removal of the Medem logo as they were not sponsoring the 2011 event.11.4 Initial discussion of 2011 twinning details centred around the alteration of the ferry return times and its effect on all concerned. Such was the range of possibilities that it was decided to call a general meeting of twinners on Saturday 2nd April at Burridge Club at 7.30pm in the hope of reaching concensus. A list of hosts and guests was read out.11.5 Proposed potential visit perhaps! Lyn Porter reported that a party from her place of employment had expressed an interest in a ‘come & try it’ session on July 15/16 but had heard no further details.11.6 Club Website. Dave Stubbs reported that he had received an offer of £75-worth of advertising on Google which he felt could only improve the Cobbetts BC on-line profile.
